Nestled near Gunehar village in Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh, Bangoru Waterfall is a pristine, hidden cascade featuring ice-cold glacial water tumbling down mossy rocks. Surrounded by a quiet pine forest, this offbeat gem offers a peaceful, crowd-free escape after a short, adventurous trek.
Day 0 (D0)
09:30 AM – Meet at the Paragliding Landing Site in Bir Tibetan Colony. Board the taxi for a short 7 km drive to the trailhead near Gunehar Village.
10:00 AM – Arrive at the trailhead. Meet your local trekking guide and complete a quick briefing session.
10:15 AM – Trek begins! Walk through beautiful Himachali crop fields and enter the dense forest trails.
10:45 AM – Reach the riverbed. Navigate the tricky stretch by hopping across large boulders and wading knee-deep through ice-cold mountain streams.
11:15 AM – Arrive at the majestic Bangoru Waterfall. Enjoy the 70-foot cascading pool, take a refreshing dip, and shoot stunning photographs.
12:15 PM – Have hot mountain Maggi, momos, and traditional Himachali Siddu with hot tea at the small local stalls run by village women next to the falls.
01:00 PM – Start descending back to the base road, retracing the rocky stream trail carefully with your guide.
01:45 PM – Reach the vehicle pickup point. Board the taxi back to Bir.
02:15 PM – Arrive back at the Bir landing site. Head for a group lunch at an offbeat cafe like the The 4 Tables Cafe & Gallery.
03:30 PM – End of the tour with beautiful mountain memories.
